    The newly created position of Commercialization Manager Beverages CoE which is based in our Reading (PA) facility. Reporting to the Head of Beverages CoE, the Commercialization Manager Beverages is responsible for the development and management of the Godiva commercialization activities with focus on our worldwide Beverages initiatives. This includes the worldwide development of new Beverages for Godiva, starting from idea generation support, to prototyping and commercialization. The Beverages CoE is the central R&D HUB for all beverages related initiatives. The incumbent understands beverages specific technologies and has technical capabilities to work on Innovation, Quality Improvement, Productivity and Brand Maintenance activities. Coffee-, tea-, fruit-, dairy-, chocolate-, cocoa- containing beverages (made in our shops or RTD made at a CoM) are in scope.


    Commercialization of beverage projects, based on briefing (KPIs): identification of required technologies for manufacturing, elaborate process specifications, shelf life and finish product specification. This includes ensuring documentation of all needed data, and dissemination of trial results to all cross-functional partners involved in the product development process.

    Accountable for commercializing local initiatives, guided and supported by the correspondent CoE (e.g. Chocolate CoE).



    Education: Food Technology/Engineer or equivalent (Master Degree) or higher
    Experience: Relevant experience (min 7 years) in Beverage Industry, System Gastronomy
    (e.g. “Starbucks”, “Pret a Manger”, etc.) or a longer experience in the Confectionary Industry with focus on beverage development (e.g. ready-to-drink or powder beverages). Great knowledge in coffee – and tea- and their brewing techniques is a plus. Experience with reduced sugar beverages and beverages in the health & wellness area and dairy based beverages.
    Skills: Great knowledge in Food Safety and microbiology is a must have. Fluent in English (good writing, communication- and presentation skills). Proven track record of successful commercialization in multinational companies. Good knowledge on process development, Sensorial Methods, IP and Statistical Design. Familiar with Lean Management initiatives, such as L6Sigma, 5S, Kaizen philosophy and/or Jidoka.
