Responsibilities

CRM Analytics Leadership:
• Key partner to Head of Loyalty in the development and evaluation of Godiva’s loyalty program across key markets to drive membership growth, engagement, retention and profitability
• Leads consumer profiling using Loyalty/CRM data for a broad understanding of our customer base demographics and behaviors
• Leads consumer segmentation and makes recommendations on customized marketing programs that drive repeat and retention
• Leads analytics to determine success of loyalty programming and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in loyalty structure and rewards
• Directs consumer surveys to loyalty members for full view of consumer behavior as well as attitudes and beliefs
• Key developer of analytic tools for Godiva’s CRM practice
• Partners with key members of Loyalty, IT, Finance, and Marketing to develop best in class loyalty programs and improvement opportunities

Business Analytics:
• Evaluates marketing and promotion programs with concrete recommendations for optimization. Conducts marketing mix, cross channel attribution analysis, promotion evaluation
• Conducts quarterly business analysis including key drivers and opportunities for improvement
• Leads ad hoc business analysis on key issues such as innovation performance, seasonal performance (Holiday, Valentine’s Day), business segment performance, etc.
• Creates business reporting and dashboarding for the Godiva organization, to be used Globally and cascaded down to a local level
• Recommends opportunities for omnichannel growth through rich understanding of the interplay of online and offline marketing channels
• Key partner for pricing and price/size architecture for Godiva Global
• Partners with key members of Marketing and Finance to identify and operationalize opportunities for growth

Digital Analytics:
• Recommends and develops global digital analytics capabilities including measurement, website optimization, program evaluation
• Leads the development of KPIs and dashboards for digital measurement to increase efficiency and improve effectiveness of digital media spend
• Conducts competitive web benchmarking to evaluate Godiva’s position vs. competitive brands and recommend opportunities for improvements
• Manages scale up of Foresee service across geographies as websites are available
• Partners with regional digital analytics manager and recommends global implications

Consumer Culture and Advocacy:
• Builds advocacy for sustained organizational investment in analytic understanding of the business
• Challenges the organization to be relentlessly focused on the needs of the consumer
• Effectively partners with consumer and product insight partners for holistic view of the business
• Inspires curiosity about and respect for our consumers
• Fosters an organizational environment that is consumer-focused
• Teaches the organization the value and application of analytics
• Communicates research findings to Sr. stakeholders
• Translates business analysis into actionable business opportunities

Qualifications

Functional/Technical Skills:
• Leader as well as team player with ability to build and manage key relationships
• Excellent communicator with ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise communications
• Excellent problem solving skills and experience analyzing large amounts of data
• Expertise with analytic tools: SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau or equivalent
• In depth understanding of modeling techniques, both hands on, as well as to provide direction to external suppliers

Project Management:
• Operates on a Sr. consulting level to understand key business needs and operationalize into analytical projects
• Demonstrates effective project management including setting appropriate action standards, selecting and guiding suppliers, managing within budget and schedule constraints, and, delivering actionable results
• Agile in flexing to evolving needs of the organization

Team Management:
• Experienced at managing a team of analytics professionals, providing direction, coaching, and guidance
• Track record of growing skill sets of junior level professionals

Agency Partner Management:
• Oversees agency partner relationships on research projects by setting a clear understanding of project scope, budget, and deliverables
• Incorporates supplier opinions and perspectives into project design and deliverables
• Vets agency partners for capabilities, selects capable suppliers to partner with and shares experiences openly with the Godiva community

Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in quantitative discipline: statistics, math, economics/econometrics, engineering, finance or other quantitative decision sciences
• Minimum 12 years progressively responsible experience in an advanced analytics role at retailer or consultancy
• Minimum 5 years retail experience required
• Expertise with analytic tools: SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau or equivalent
• In depth understanding of modeling techniques, both hands on, as well as to provide direction to external suppliers
